From Page to Stage! -Playwriting Camp:

Become a playwright and bring your imagination to life! In this exciting two-week camp, students will explore the magic of storytelling by studying famous musicals, playing engaging acting games, and performing professional scenes—then take center stage as writers and performers of their own original play.

During Week One, students will collaborate as a creative team to develop a unique play idea, brainstorm compelling characters and settings, craft an engaging plot, and write their very own short play from scratch.

Week Two shifts to the stage, where students will transform their script into a full production: staging scenes, designing props, rehearsing their roles, and polishing their performance.

The camp culminates in a special showcase where students perform their original creation for families, celebrating the journey from blank page to standing ovation. This is the ultimate creative experience—where budding playwrights discover the power of their own voices and see their stories come alive on stage!

Age: Incoming 4th - 8th grade students
